About me
Hi, I'm Kari Derks, a design student in his second year at Avans Communication and Multimedia Design. I'm a critical designer, who loves storytelling through media, as a Designer at CMD I have learned to think, research, work, and create like a Professional designer.
CMD is a broad study that has taught me to work with a wide range of mediums, Like Arduino robotics, Visual design, user experience design, filmmaking, programming, and 3D modeling.
I also have a lot of experience in miniature work & animation, and have a deep passion for storytelling.
Me as a Designer
As a Designer, i try to inspire, entertain & help people. Many of my artworks may critique something or inspire a discussion, while others might tell a story or fulfill a neglected purpose.
Me in my free time
In my free time, I like miniature hobbing and wargaming, I have a deep passion for history and practice many sports like sword fighting and boxing. One of my biggest and most special hobbies is historical re-enactment.
